Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (Day); Rotating call coverage: weekdays stand-by/call begins at the end of your shift (typically around 4:00 PM or immediately at shift end) and runs until 11:00 PM; Weekends & Holidays: stand-by/call 7:00 AM - 11:00 PM; weekend availability required (rotating call coverage including Saturdays, Sundays and holidays)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of nuclear medicine procedures including SPECT and diagnostic imaging with precision and compassion
- Prepare, administer and monitor radiopharmaceuticals, including lymphoscintigraphy injections, following all safety protocols
- Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment (SPECT, Philips systems) and manage images in PACS
- Start and maintain IVs and monitor patients during pharmacologic stress studies (adenosine, Persantine) and exercise/rest protocols
- Accurately document procedures and patient data in Epic to support excellent continuity of care
- Provide clear patient education and ensure comfort and safety throughout the imaging process
- Participate in rotational call and weekend coverage to support urgent imaging needs
Qualifications
- ARRT certification required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of nuclear medicine technologist experience (first-timers accepted under some conditions)
- Ability to perform lymphoscintigraphy studies and inject tracers (required)
- Comfort with ER and Adult ICU environments and performing EKGs as needed
- Proficiency with PACS and Epic charting preferred
- NMTCB certification preferred
- Active state licensure required (pending licenses not accepted)
- Weekend and holiday availability required; ability to participate in rotational call
Education
- Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program or Associate degree in Radiologic/Nuclear Medicine Technology
- Relevant certifications (ARRT required, NMTCB preferred) and state licensure as applicable
Knowledge & Skills
- Nuclear medicine procedures: SPECT, bone scans, thyroid studies, renal flow, myocardial imaging
- Special procedures: lymphoscintigraphy, gastric emptying, HIDA, ventilation/perfusion, Sestamibi parathyroid
- Pharmacologic stress protocols including adenosine and Persantine infusions and exercise/rest studies
- Image management in PACS and charting in Epic
- Starting and maintaining IVs, patient monitoring and safety
- Familiarity with Philips imaging equipment
- Strong patient communication, critical thinking and teamwork skills
