Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, delivering skilled physical therapy interventions that improve function and quality of life
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and update comprehensive plans of care
• Assess and fit rehabilitation equipment such as splints, orthoses, prostheses and wheelchairs
• Implement ADL-focused treatments and therapeutic modalities to support patient independence
• Document clinical findings, treatment plans and progress in the medical record accurately and timely
• Educate patients and families on home programs, safety and ongoing therapy needs
• Participate in orientation and team meetings to ensure continuity of care and adherence to facility standards

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) — required
• Current Massachusetts physical therapy license — required
• Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient physical therapy experience — required
• BLS (AHA) certification — required
• Meditech Expanse EMR experience — strongly preferred
• Traveler requirements: own vehicle and profile must include permanent address and any required time-off (RTO)
• Two supervisory signed references from within the past two years and up-to-date work history
• All licenses and certifications uploaded to profile prior to submission

Education

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in direct patient care and individualized plan-of-care development
• Comfortable with rehabilitation equipment: splints, orthoses, prostheses, wheelchairs and ADL aids
• Familiarity with therapeutic modalities and safe application
• Strong documentation and clinical reasoning skills
• Effective interdisciplinary communication and teamwork
• Ability to work in a fast-paced inpatient hospital environment
• Experience with or aptitude to learn Meditech Expanse charting
