Shift Type: Night 3x12-Hour, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (Night) — three 12-hour night shifts per week; float to Postpartum as required
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, expert nursing care for high-risk antepartum patients from 6 to 41 weeks
- Manage and monitor patients with complex conditions including preeclampsia, PTL, previa, diabetes and hypertension
- Administer and titrate critical medications such as anticoagulants, insulin drips, and magnesium sulfate safely and accurately
- Maintain central lines (CVC/PICC) and manage IV therapy and phlebotomy tasks with precision
- Circulate for C-sections and assist in the operating environment when needed
- Support and perform bedside sterile procedures including assistance with sterile speculum exams and amniocentesis support
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support postpartum mothers whose infants are in the NICU
- Operate and monitor unit equipment such as PCA pumps, syringe pumps, and infusion devices while ensuring patient safety
Qualifications
- AWHONN Advanced certification (required)
- BLS and NRP required
- ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience; screen candidates with less than 2 years or no C-section experience
- C-section circulation experience required
- First-time travelers welcome; travel experience not required
- Willingness to float to Postpartum unit as part of assignment
- Intermediate AWHONN holders require manager approval
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of high-risk antepartum conditions and maternal-fetal physiology
- Skilled in IV therapy, central line maintenance (CVC/PICC), and phlebotomy
- Proficient in administration and titration of critical medications including insulin drips, anticoagulants and magnesium sulfate
- Comfortable assisting with sterile speculum exams and bedside procedural support
- Experience circulating in C-section cases and working in the L&D environment
- Ability to care for patients experiencing fetal demise and support bereaved families with sensitivity
- Familiarity with PCA pumps, syringe pumps, and common infusion equipment
