Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate basic nursing and restorative care following facility policies
- Assist residents with activities of daily living: bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting
- Support resident mobility with safe transfers, positioning, range-of-motion and ambulation assistance
- Maintain accurate resident documentation in PointClickCare and communicate observations to licensed staff
- Follow infection control protocols and help maintain a safe environment for residents and staff
- Observe residents for changes in condition and promptly inform LPN/RN of significant findings
- Support individualized Resident Care Plans and encourage resident participation in their care
- Respond to emergencies and resident safety events according to facility procedures
Qualifications
- Active New Hampshire LNA license in-hand at time of submission (Compact allowed)
- BLS (AHA) certification — active at time of submission
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an LNA (per submission requirements)
- COVID-19 vaccination required (no declinations/exemptions accepted) — proof required
- Own transportation required (facility in a rural area; no public transit)
- Willingness to float to units where experienced
- Two supervisory references from the last 2 years of employment (required)
- Previous travel experience and rural/small facility experience are a plus
Education
- Active NH LNA license (state-required)
- BLS (AHA) certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience with ADLs, restorative care, and resident mobility assistance
- Competence with infection control techniques and resident safety practices
- Documentation skills in electronic medical records (PointClickCare preferred)
- Strong observational and communication skills to report resident status to licensed staff
- Ability to follow care plans and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Comfort working in a small/rural facility setting and adapting to varied shift patterns
