Shift Type: Primarily weekend-focused: 3 x 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (mostly weekends) — day shift

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality rehabilitation nursing care to inpatients, promoting recovery and independence
- Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings using Meditech
- Administer medications safely and manage IV pumps and feeding pumps
- Support mobility and transfers using specialty lifts and transfer equipment
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary rehab team to develop and implement patient-centered care plans
- Promote patient experience and education, ensuring compassionate communication and discharge readiness
- Follow CARF and Joint Commission standards and unit-specific policies to maintain compliance and safety
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license for North Carolina or compact state as required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; rehab or med-surg experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable with specialty equipment including IV pumps, feeding pumps, lifts and specialty beds
- Availability to work weekend-focused 12-hour shifts
- Familiarity with dialysis processes a plus or willingness to coordinate with on-site dialysis nurses
Education
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required; specific degree not listed
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient assessment and medication administration skills
- Experience documenting in Meditech or similar electronic health record systems
- Proficiency with IV pump management and feeding pump operation
- Skilled in safe patient handling, lifts and transfer techniques
- Ability to prioritize care in a 65-bed rehab inpatient setting with typical patient ratios of 5-6
- Teamwork and communication skills for effective interdisciplinary collaboration
