Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures with accuracy and compassion, ensuring high-quality images for diagnosing patients
- Safely operate imaging equipment while following radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff
- Position patients and prepare them for procedures, explaining steps clearly to reduce anxiety and improve cooperation
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to support timely, patient-centered care
- Document procedures, verify patient identification and maintain accurate records in compliance with facility policies
- Complete required Trinity Skills Checklist and Specialty Specific Competency Testing to demonstrate and maintain proficiency
- Participate in infection control practices and required health screenings to ensure a safe clinical environment
Qualifications
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- Valid Radiology/Radiologic Technologist license or certificate with verification (state authorization required)
- Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing (required by engagement)
- Ability to complete required health screenings and immunizations prior to start (see checklist)
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach to care
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of radiographic principles and imaging techniques
- Familiarity with operation and troubleshooting of imaging equipment
- Understanding of radiation safety and infection control best practices
- Patient positioning and care skills with attention to comfort and dignity
- Ability to follow facility policies, documentation standards, and regulatory requirements
