Shift Type: Rotating day and night shifts with on-call coverage; schedule varies and may include weekends and holidays. Candidate must be able to take call and report to work within 20 minutes.
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $88 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic mammography and CT exams, including screening, diagnostic, stereotactic breast biopsy support, and specimen radiography
- Provide radiographic and sonographic exams across the lifespan with age-appropriate care and professional judgment
- Maintain and lead quality assurance activities for the department to ensure compliance with ACR/FDA and local policies
- Operate and care for imaging equipment and peripherals including PACS, transducers, coils, and injectors
- Assist with interventional procedures and sterile technique when requested and support CT/IR procedures
- Communicate effectively with referring physicians, patients, and the care team to facilitate excellent patient outcomes
- Coordinate patient transfers and ensure radiation protection and safety for patients and staff
- Serve as lead technologist duties when assigned: manage workflow, validate PACS labeling, assist with staffing and onboarding, and troubleshoot operational issues
Qualifications
- Current ARRT in Radiography OR current ARDMS in one category (Abd or OB/GYN) as stated in job requirements
- BLS certification required within 45 days of start
- Clinical competency completed within 3 months of hire and maintained every three years
- Demonstrated ability to perform diagnostic exams in assigned modalities (mammography and CT required)
- Willingness to rotate shifts, take on-call duties, and report to work within 20 minutes when called
- Must provide 2 fingerprint cards upon acceptance of the position
- Experience or comfort with PACS, quality control, and radiology documentation
Education
- Current ARRT in Radiography OR Current ARDMS in one category (Abd or OB/GYN)
- BLS certification (within 45 days of start)
- Clinical competency documentation required within 3 months of hire
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in mammography workflows including quality control, needle localization, and stereotactic breast biopsy support
- Proficiency with CT protocols, contrast administration, and pediatric/adult protocol adjustments
- Competence with ultrasound exams and desire to pursue RDMS education or additional credentials
- Strong PACS navigation, image labeling, and tele-radiology transmission skills
- Familiarity with radiation protection principles and daily/weekly QC procedures
- Ability to perform venipuncture, sterile technique, and assist in interventional procedures
- Inventory management, equipment care, and participation in accreditation efforts
- Excellent patient communication, cultural sensitivity, and customer service
