Roles & Responsibilities
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently to patients and care teams
- Verify prescriptions for dosing, interactions, and appropriateness
- Counsel patients and healthcare staff on medication use and safety
- Collaborate closely with prescribers and nursing staff to support patient care
- Maintain clear, compliant documentation of all dispensing and clinical interventions
- Participate in medication reconciliation and quality improvement efforts
Qualifications
- Registered Pharmacist credential (RPh)
- Active pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain licensure in Texas preferred
- Experience working in a clinical or hospital pharmacy setting is a strong plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication safety
- Excellent communication skills for patient counseling and interdisciplinary collaboration
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication safety principles and best practices
- Familiarity with pharmacy workflows and dispensing processes
- Ability to review clinical orders for dosing and drug interactions
- Comfort using electronic pharmacy systems and documentation tools
- Customer-focused approach with good problem solving and prioritization
