Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents as an LPN, ensuring dignity and comfort
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Monitor patient condition, report changes to the care team, and participate in care planning
• Perform routine assessments and maintain clear, timely charting in the resident record
• Collaborate with RNs, CNAs, therapists, and physicians to deliver coordinated care
• Support residents and families with clear communication, education, and emotional support
• Adhere to infection control practices and organizational policies to ensure a safe environment

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico or compact/state-appropriate licensure
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain promptly)
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or acute care preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, reliable assessment skills, and excellent communication
• Ability to pass required background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent diploma

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in medication administration and basic treatments
• Skilled in resident assessment, vital signs, and wound care basics
• Comfortable with electronic charting and documentation
• Knowledge of infection prevention and safe patient handling
• Team-oriented with strong interpersonal and time-management skills
