Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside nursing and daily care to residents with dignity and respect
• Administer medications and treatments accurately following facility protocols
• Assess and monitor patient status; report changes promptly to the care team
• Document care interventions clearly and timely in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists and support staff to develop and follow care plans
• Support patient and family education to promote recovery and safe transitions
• Maintain infection control and safety standards to protect patients and colleagues

Qualifications

• Active LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain state licensure
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings is preferred
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program or vocational nursing diploma

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Basic clinical assessments and vital sign interpretation
• Wound care fundamentals and pressure injury prevention
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and timely charting
• Comfort working in fast-paced environments and prioritizing tasks
• Customer-service approach to resident and family interactions
