Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents at Casa Del Sol Center
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per policy
• Monitor and record vital signs, report changes promptly to the care team
• Perform timely and clear charting in the facility electronic health record
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and providers to deliver coordinated care
• Educate residents and families about care plans and daily routines
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection control standards
• Participate in shift handoffs and contribute to continuous quality improvement

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN license (must be eligible to practice in New Mexico)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications a plus
• Comfortable administering medications and performing routine nursing procedures
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on a multidisciplinary team
• Reliability and a resident-centered approach to compassionate care

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in medication administration, wound care basics, and vital sign assessment
• Proficient documentation and charting skills; attention to detail matters
• Ability to prioritize tasks during a busy evening shift
• Familiarity with long-term care workflows and resident-focused care
• Comfortable using electronic health records and following facility protocols
