Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient condition, taking proactive steps to deliver excellent bedside care
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient-centered care
• Document care, observations and patient responses thoroughly in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and discharge plans
• Respond to patient changes and emergencies with calm, competent action
• Support smooth transitions of care during admissions, transfers and discharges

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or compact RN authorization
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) preferred depending on unit
• Recent clinical experience in acute care or similar setting preferred
• Excellent communication, critical thinking and teamwork skills
• Ability to pass facility background checks and credentialing

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment abilities
• Medication administration and IV therapy proficiency
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation best practices
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Compassionate patient- and family-centered care approach
