Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents at Casa Del Sol Center
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document interventions clearly
• Perform thorough assessments and monitor patient condition, reporting changes promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate safe, effective care plans
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies, following established protocols
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the patient record and uphold HIPAA standards

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or eligibility for licensure (compact/mobile license accepted where applicable)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Prior acute care or long-term care nursing experience preferred
• Current immunizations and ability to pass required health screenings and background checks
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
• Completion of an accredited nursing program and successful NCLEX-RN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in clinical assessments, medication administration, and IV therapy
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and accurate documentation
• Solid knowledge of safety protocols, infection control, and patient privacy regulations
• Ability to prioritize, triage, and manage multiple patient needs during a shift
• Teamwork-focused with strong interpersonal and patient education skills
