Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care as an LPN on the unit
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
• Monitor and record vital signs, changes in condition, and communicate concerns
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to support care plans
• Assist with ADLs, patient education, and discharge instructions to promote recovery
• Maintain a safe, organized environment and adhere to infection control standards
• Contribute to quality improvement efforts and share observations that improve care

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license valid in New Mexico (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification (required or must obtain upon hire)
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
• Clinical experience in long-term care or similar settings preferred
• Strong communication, documentation, and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating in a multidisciplinary team

Education

• Graduation from an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program
• High school diploma or GED required

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and accurate charting
• Wound care, basic nursing assessments, and ADL support
• Comfortable using electronic health records and clinical documentation
• Infection prevention best practices and patient safety focus
• Patient education and clear, compassionate communication
• Teamwork, adaptability, and situational awareness in a fast-paced setting
