Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care at Casa Del Sol Center
• Perform thorough assessments and document findings clearly and promptly
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy according to facility policy
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate individualized care plans
• Respond to clinical changes and emergencies using strong critical thinking
• Support quality improvement, safety initiatives, and regulatory compliance
• Provide guidance and mentorship to nursing assistants and newer staff
• Communicate effectively with patients and families to promote understanding and comfort

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or active compact RN license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS preferred
• Previous clinical experience in acute care, long-term care, or similar settings preferred
• Comfortable working night shift with strong independent decision-making skills
• Current immunizations and background checks per facility policy
• Professional, patient-focused attitude and reliable clinical documentation skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough patient assessment and clinical judgment
• Medication administration, IV therapy, and safe dosing practices
• Wound care and basic procedures common to long-term care settings
• Electronic medical records documentation and charting accuracy
• Infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance
• Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills
• Ability to adapt to changing patient loads and priorities
