Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care and advocacy
• Assess residents, monitor vital signs, and communicate changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Collaborate with the care team to develop and update care plans
• Document clinical assessments and interventions in the resident record
• Support residents with activities of daily living while promoting independence
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and infection control practices

Qualifications

• Current LPN license to practice in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain one
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; other certifications a plus
• Comfortable working in long-term care/skilled nursing environments
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Reliable, compassionate, and patient-focused approach to care

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing (LPN) program

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and accurate documentation
• Resident assessment, wound care basics, and skin integrity monitoring
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting best practices
• Infection prevention, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance
• Effective communication with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced care setting
