Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct nursing care to residents at Casa Del Sol Center
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time
• Assess and monitor patient condition, reporting changes promptly
• Document care thoroughly and maintain accurate electronic records
• Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent care
• Educate residents and families on care plans and self-care when appropriate
• Promote safety and infection control practices to protect residents and staff
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support unit goals

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license valid in New Mexico
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained upon hire
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings preferred
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background/health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Willingness to work the assigned 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM shift

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program (diploma or certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in medication administration and resident care procedures
• Solid patient assessment and documentation skills
• Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and standard clinical tools
• Good time management and prioritization under busy conditions
• Collaborative approach to working with nurses, CNAs, therapists, and providers
