Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (day/night), 3x12 schedule: Day shifts 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (3 shifts/week) and Night shifts 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (3 shifts/week); rotating schedule that may include weekends and is reviewed every 4 weeks (day/night/rotating)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Float between Oncology Medical-Surgical and PCU units to meet patient care needs
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care for oncology and general medical-surgical patients
- Ensure staff and patient safety within a secure corrections environment in collaboration with Corrections Officers
- Perform cardiac monitoring, interpret dysrhythmias and respond to telemetry alerts promptly
- Administer IV therapies, manage PICC/central/peripheral lines and blood products safely
- Manage respiratory supports including CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC and ABG interpretation
- Provide feeding tube and tracheostomy care and support pre/post hemodialysis management
- Document patient care accurately in EPIC and utilize Pyxis for medication administration
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including pharmacy, PT, respiratory services and social services
- Participate in unit orientation and maintain compliance with infection control and facility policies
Qualifications
- Active RN license (eligible to practice in Ohio or compact RN as applicable)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience
- EPIC charting experience required
- BLS required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
- Oncology experience preferred but not required
- Comfortable working in a locked corrections unit and following security protocols
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- Ability to pass facility onboarding and background checks
Knowledge & Skills
- Medical-surgical and telemetry nursing with strong cardiac monitoring skills
- IV therapy, PICC/central line care, and blood product administration
- Respiratory care skills including CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC and ABG interpretation
- Feeding tube and tracheostomy management
- Pre/post hemodialysis patient management
- Familiarity with Pyxis medication systems and EPIC documentation
- Rapid response/code team participation and emergency response readiness
- Isolation precautions, infection control and safe practice in secured settings
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with corrections officers and interdisciplinary staff
