Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to PCU patients
- Monitor patient condition and promptly communicate changes to the care team
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to create effective care plans
- Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions
- Document care and patient responses accurately in the medical record
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina or a valid compact license
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience (as listed in the job posting)
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Experience working in a PCU or similar acute care setting preferred
- Ability to pass background checks and comply with facility onboarding requirements
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment skills
- Proficient with IV medication administration and infusion pumps
- Familiarity with telemetry and intermediate care monitoring
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage care in a fast-paced environment
